  • A road switcher at speed south of Napier, NI.
  • A rather unusual way of getting a signal in Paekakariki, on the commuter line north of Wellington, NI.

  • Picton, SI harbor with the ferry terminal. If you look closely you can see a switcher running into the ferry hold on the lower level of the loading bridge.
  • The staging tracks in Picton are sized for the length of the tracks in the ferry hold.
  • A cut of cars gets pulled off the ferry.
  • Idler cars are used for reaching into the ferry.
  • Ngakawau on the west coast of the South Island. A set of DXBs has just dropped their empty coal train under the flood loader and runs around it.
  • They run around their train already spotted underneath Solid Energy's massive concrete loading tipple.

  • At Invercargill, a stormy sky threatens as a train prepares to leave for Dunedin.
  • Back on the west coast of the South Island, the milk train is seen crossing one of two road/rail bridges north of Hokitika.
