    The raison d'etre of Vise PE - holding freight trains coming south off the L24/1 connector from the L24 on the bridge in the distance and merge them into passenger traffic on the L40. The tower was still occupied (and received a coat of new paint) in 2013. The freight being passed is the 33740 (Genk-Zuid - Chatelet-Formation).
