2819 exits the Gulp Tunnel westbound with the 40242 (Gallarate/I - Oorderen) in tow.
A rare view unlikely to be repeated. 241 803 has an empty coal train in tow as it passes between Block 16 (still operating) and the old customs yard in Montzen in June 2007. The L39 from Welkenraedt is already electrified to provide an alternate route for ICE and Thalys trains detouring due to construction on the L37 for a very brief time. The entire catenary visible in this view was used by less than 20 trains before it was scrapped again when the interlocking was rebuilt in 2008.
DLC PB20 leads an MSC container extra into the west portal of the Gulp Tunnel.
