I like to scout out new (to me, anyway) locations to shoot at rather than taking the same pictures foamers have been taking for decades. One of these spots that I found last year is the stretch of L40 bisecting the large Jupiler brewery in Jupille. I needed a northbound freight to make it work, and one could do worse than with the Veendam limestone loads which tend to be very reliable and usually leave on the minute.
After setting up I did not have to wait very long for the two 6500s to lead their respectable train onto the mainline and continue north to Sittard where electric power takes over. The 6500s then return south for the next round of traffic in the Basin de Liege.
