pointduvue > Full House at tower 14 in Montzen yard
pointduvue > 2801 (E186 123) with the TEC 40176 (Novara/I - Antwerpen Noord) in the absolutely last light in Remersdaal. In mid-2008 the first three class 2800 units (noticeable by the off-center placement of the number on the nose) were still novelties and railfans went out of their way to catch them. In 2009, nobody can be bothered anymore...
pointduvue > 7785+7776 with TEC 40084 (Ambrogio) in Welkenraedt. This train was diverted over the otherwise passenger-only L37 and the L39 due to construction activities inside Gemmenich Tunnel on the L24.
pointduvue > Ex-ERS 6602, now leased by SNCF Fret, leads the 48647 (di,vr Bon 15.45 Std 15.54 Mt 16.15 Fvs 16.30 Vsb - Anglefort Kolen) through Hermalle-sous-Argenteau.
pointduvue > The first of the "official" batch of 40 multi-system Traxxes for Belgium, E186 196, gets picked up by SNCB officials in Aachen Hbf.
pointduvue > Rebuilding the Moresnet viaduct in 2003. The first two spans have been exchanged.
pointduvue > A freight train derailed several tank cars at tower 16 in Montzen yard on 10-Jul-2008. By dusk the hazmat cargo had been transloaded and rerailing operations were under way.
pointduvue > An interesting international assignment for Railion Netherlands' class 6400 MaK road switchers are the limestone trains between the Dutch steel mills at Beverwijk and Veendam and the Belgian quarry operation at Hermalle s/Huy. The quarry is owned by Dumont-Wautier. Here the Beverwijk train 49665's power has cut off their train at Hermalle and prepares to run back to Sittard/NL light engine.
pointduvue > Two class 77 diesels power FE 44522 (Gremberg - Antwerpen Noord) through Remersdaal. This was one of a handful trains in 2007 that operated with a single set of power all the way. Most other trains changed power in Montzen and again in Aachen West.
